A visitor to Island Pond came into our Market last year. They had flown into Boston, rented a car, and headed north to see a moose or a mountain. They loved the maple syrup and wanted to send it as a gift to a friend. But it wouldn’t work to take it home on the airplane, so they were stuck.
Inspired by this need, we got set up with our Ship-A-Gift program, where customers could select an item, write a note on a card, and fill out a shipping form, and we would do the rest. We’ll box up your items in a snowy-white box with some Vermont images on the outside, and Vermont wood shavings on the inside to cushion your item. Then we’ll mail it to your friend on the date you tell us.
